Minesweeper is a movie, released in 1943 to encourage Allied troops.

A naval officer rejoins the Navy during WWII, having previously deserted due to a gambling addiction. He becomes a hero by destroying a new type of German mine.

The cast includes Richard Arlen, Jean Parker, Russell Hayden, Guinn Williams and Emma Dunn. Directed by William Berke, it was written by Edward Lowe and Maxwell Shane. Running time is 67 minutes.

It is interesting to note that the inventor of Minesweeper, Robert Donner, shares his name with the actor Robert Donner. Neither were involved with this film, although the acting Donner fought with the Navy in WWII before starting his stage career.
