Rules
The player with the lowest sum of 6 Intermediate and 6 Expert games is the winner. Games must be completed within the time limit.
Details
The competition took place on 28 July 2006 at the University of Vienna, Room 204 of the Faculty of Mathematics.
The first session was Beginner, where each person played 8 sessions of seeing who could finish 10 games first.
This was followed by 1 hour of Intermediate and 1 hour of Expert. The final session was 1 more hour to play either
Intermediate or Expert. After the award ceremony, there was a small Nonosweeper tournament.
More Info
Christoph programmed a new version of minesweeper, ViennaSweeper, for the tournament. This allowed him
to network the computers to display results on a screen during the competition. ViennaSweeper can also be turned on or off
by the administrator, and this controlled when participants could play.
Damien Moore has made a very detailed report on the tournament.
