Linux-Friendly Clones
Linux-Friendly Clones
Are there any versions of clones that are linux-friendly? I've tried downloading both Arbiter and MSX onto my Ubuntu and neither work.

FreeSweeper (http://www.minesweepergame.com/forum/viewt ... f=26&t=184) runs on Linux, but it's unfortunately not official yet. As far as I know no official version runs on anything but Windows.
NF player. Best scores 1-10-39.

ViennaSweeper runs on wine, so does Arbiter, iirc. I'm not sure about MSX.

Re: Linux-Friendly Clones
are there any experienced sweepers who have some free time on their hands and are willing to define a procedure for accepting a new clone and a list of requirements for a clone to be accepted as an official verison? now that clone is gone there might be room for freesweeper to take clone's place.

MSX runs under wine once you install the VB6 runtimes:
Code: Select all
winetricks vb6run
