as of now danny marden is the only one to ever complete 8x8 beginner with 49 mines.

i did 1000 attempts today. here is how far i have gotten:
and another 1000 on 2012-12-30

lost after 2-10 solved squares
2 - 341 times
3 - 91
4 - 30
5 - 18
6 - 7
7 - 3
8 - 3
9 - 0
10 - 1

it's a too small sample, i'll play a few more games next week. maybe people like bertie, ara or qq could give a rough estimation how many attempts are needed to complete a board.
