Mines XP

Mines XP is an enhanced version of Minesweeper with great new features and multi-player modes.

Classic mode includes:

- All features of minesweeper from Windows XP
- Detailed highscores keep top 10 scores for each level
- The highscore list saves clicks for each record, number of games played and won.
- Sound effects are fun and also give clues
- Many different ways to flag
- You can flag mines by clicking on the number if it touches only mines
- Game resolution and block size can be increased
- Seven colour themes
- Start new game by double-clicking
- Random click function guesses for you

Multiplayer mode includes:

- Based on MSN Flags
- Play against a local friend or against a computer
- Beginner, Intermediate, Expert and Custom levels
- If one player uncovers half the mines, other player gets a score bonus
- Detailed highscore list saves stats for 10 different players

Editor Comments

MinesXP is a great version for new players who want speed, sounds effects, cool graphics and more options. The multiplayer feature is a great bonus, although the current version does not support play over the internet. Game development is still in progress, with enhanced AI features expected soon. Professional players will notice chording requires the finger being lifted after a flag is placed.
