Lowest Beginner 3BV

Many players have won Beginner games in 1 click, but these games are no longer allowed for official rankings. Versions of Windows before XP had a bug where the timer did not stop sometimes if only 1 click was made.

Early versions of the Clone also made 1 click games, but since Clone2006 the minimum is 2 3bv. (Actually, the minimum is 3 3bv and you only get a 2 3bv if your first click is on a mine and the mine is shifted).

Lowest Intermediate 3BV

The lowest Winmine board noticed is 23 3bv. Below is a picture from Tom Bradbury (England) on 03 January 2005. James Lange also played a 23 3bv board on 1 Mar 2003.

The lowest 3bv on the Clone was 20 3bv, played by Christoph Nikolaus (Austria) in 2005. Clone2006 only creates boards needing at least 30 clicks.

Lowest Expert 3BV

The lowest Expert board was 3BV=87, played by Sorin Manea (Romania) in 2002. He lost. Versions of the Clone since Clone2006 do not generate games easier than 3BV=100. The easiest Clone97 game was 3BV=88, lost on the last click by Oliver Scheer (Germany) 08 October 2007 on what would have been a world record of 36 seconds.
