How to cheat at Minesweeper

How to cheat at Mineswepeer?

There are several ways to cheat at Minesweeper (for Windows 95/98/NT/2000)

- First you can open the file C:\Windows\winmine.ini and modify the name and time of the records.

- You can block the timer: left click on a square, then click (whithout releasing) on one of the opened squares; press 'escape', and then release all: miracle! The timer is stopped! You can sweep easily now... You can start the timer again by minimizing/maximizing the window.

- Minimize all windows that could prevent you from looking on the top left corner of your screen and open Minesweeper. Type the code xyzzy , then hit at the same type ENTER key and Shift key. Look at the top left corner: each time your mouse is over a mine, a very small black pixel appears (except on the very first square). When there is no mine, the pixel is white.

- for Windows XP: open the registry (type regedit in the 'run' command in the start menu), find the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Winmine. You just have to modify on the right the keys containing times and names...

Here's an example of a blatent cheat: the player used a solver. Notice the too fast speed, the too regular click rate, the lack of mistakes, and the inhuman mouse moves...
